1.[Latest news on Peru's fishing season]

Main Back ground info: In the sixth week of 2026, the total fish catch in southern Peru was 14,800 tons, 24% higher than the same period last year, mainly concentrated in the ports of Matarani and Ilo. In this fishing season, the cumulative catch in the south reached 106,816 tons, achieving 57.4% of the 251,000-ton quota.
