Melatonin,Chemical formula：C13H16N2O2，also called melatonin hormone or pineal hormone, or n-acetyl-5-methoxytryptaminis.

It is a substance secreted by the pineal gland in the brain. It's widely found in prokaryotes, single-celled organisms, fungi, plants, invertebrates, and vertebrates.
