Product Overview

Sodium benzoate (SB) is a salt of benzoic acid that is highly soluble in water, bland, and unscented. It is produced by mixing benzoic acid with sodium hydroxide. Sodium benzoate does not exist organically,  It exists as a white, odorless, crystalline powder with a sweet, astringent taste.yet when combined with water, it creates benzoic acid, which exists natively in particular crops.

Its primary function is to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and yeast, especially in acidic foods and beverages. By doing so, it significantly extends the shelf life of products and prevents spoilage.
